Work is life, life is work

Last year, I got really caught up in the pressure to create more ‘work/life balance.’ 

This year, I’m accepting something different about myself: my work is a part of my life, and the two are inextricable. It’s OK that I sometimes work in the evenings after the kids are asleep — because I love what I do. 

And it’s becoming easier to accept this, because most of the people I work with feel the same. I have the immense privilege of working with talented humans who don’t see the difference between life and work; it’s all part of the whole.
